NuGyp™ Process
Chemistry
The chemistry of making plaster and its rehydration to gypsum is simple and well known.
Pure CaSO4·½H2O requires 18.62% of its own weight of water to rehydrate to CaSO4·2H2O. Theoretical water demand 100/18.62
To produce a flowable mix excess water is required
- Alpha process 100/28 to 100/45
- Beta process 100/70 to 100/95
- NuGyp Process 100/50 to 100/95
